Dear Sir,
Attached is a picture of my Johnny
onboard a P6E Hawk. I have gotten only positive comments on my
realistic pilot. I will order again for my next project.

Hi Mike,
Here is a picture of one more I did for a local buddy, Terry Heddin. He will go into a ¼ scale DR1. I have one picture of both together, mine in 1/5 scale and Terry’s which is ¼ scale and trimmed down (shortened) to fit in the DR1 cockpit.

Unknown Owner, BUSA Nieuport (Cool
Pic!) |
Mystery Solved, Thanks
John!
Hey I believe the pilot of the red Nieuport 11 is Bob Curry from Woodstock NY. The same Bob Curry who's a scale judge at Top Gun. I'm pretty sure that photo was taken last year at Rhinebeck. Here's two from this year's Rhinebeck, same plane, just more detail added like the Lewis gun on upper wing.
Just a little side note, Bob likes kit-bashing and that Nieuport 11 is actually a kit-bashed Nieuport 17. He had that one framed up before BUSA released their 11 multi-power kit last year. The cowl is a spaghetti pot that worked perfectly.

John Sohm |

Eddie was the first one I did for a BUSA 1/4 pup and Mike followed for the BUSA N17. I just ordered your new RFC guy with mustache to replace Eddie in the Pup. Eddie is being sent back to the states while he awaits his 1/4scale Spad XIII sometime next year. Your pilots are the best, keep em comming. BTW, I am finishing a 1/3 scale version of Alex Papana's BU133 YR-PAX. Dont happen to have a 1/3 scale bust of Alex lying around do you?

Mike or as you call him now Generic WW1 has been flying this modified Dynaflight SE5a for some time as you can see from the ware and flaking paint, Mike was painted according to your instructions with a slight variation to the painting of the goggles to just suggest the eyes behind them.
He always gets mentions at meets and he and the plain have scored several trophies, He will be being transferred to another more modified Dynaflight SE5a in the near future.
Anyway I will get back to painting Richt, I think I have one of the last ones in captivity.
Regards and all the best.
